How We Build Your Patio
Every patio starts with proper planning. We measure your space, talk about how you want to use it, and make sure everything slopes correctly for drainage. Here is what you can expect.
Site Preparation and Grading
We excavate to the right depth and create a solid base using crushed stone. The base gets compacted multiple times to prevent settling. We also set up forms to contain the concrete and establish the proper slope away from your house. This keeps water from pooling or running toward your foundation.
Concrete Pour and Finishing
We use the right concrete mix for outdoor applications in Massachusetts. Rebar or wire mesh reinforcement goes in to prevent cracking. After pouring, we finish the surface to your preference. This could be a smooth trowel finish, a broom finish for traction, or stamped concrete patterns that mimic stone or tile.
Curing and Sealing
Concrete needs time to cure properly. We protect it during this process and apply sealant once it is ready. This protects against stains, moisture, and freeze-thaw damage. With proper care, your patio will look great for 20 to 30 years or more.
Design Options for Your Space
You are not limited to a plain gray rectangle. Modern concrete patios can match almost any style. We can add color through integral pigments or acid stains.
